Bharat Nair

Bharat Nair is Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Delfigo Security. Nair brings over 19 years of experience in enterprise software management and operations with a proven track record for value based selling, strategic marketing, leadership, and entrepreneurship spanning IT and operations in a variety of roles.

Previous positions include SVP of Global Manufacturing Practice at Aberdeen Group (a leading, Boston based technology research firm), Sr. Director at Brooks Automation's Enterprise Software Division (which was acquired by Applied Materials in 2007), and Director of Asia Pacific Systems Integration and Services Unit for Brooks Automation, among others.

Nair brings over 15 years of international sales, marketing, and business development experience including service delivery and startup. He started the Services Delivery business unit for Brooks Automation in Asia Pacific and after attaining market leadership returned to corporate to focus on M&A and new strategic verticals. He set the strategic direction and managed the transition of Brooks Enterprise Software Group from a single vertical to multi-industry focus over a four year period.

While at Jenoptik-Infab GmbH (which was acquired by Brooks Automation), Nair led the Global Services BU focusing on customer delivery and business development in North America and Asia. Prior to joining Jenoptik-Infab, Nair was responsible for strategic direction and operational leadership of the Manufacturing IT Systems at AMD. In addition to leading the CIM strategic vision for AMD, Nair led the Applications Architecture Group, setting the pace as a technology and business change agent for IT systems. He was a core member of the China startup team.

Passionate about technology, Nair leverages technology to improve business processes and operational performance. He has direct experience in establishing technology and development centers of excellence globally to support global sourcing for IT and operations. Nair successfully co-founded and sold two technology startups in the 1990s focused on end user computing and medical diagnostics.

Nair has an MBA from Boston University, a Master's degree in Robotics (ME) from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in ME with specialization in Alternate Energy from India. He holds a US Patent for design and development of a global manufacturing visibility and analytics solution as well as patent pending for Enterprise Quality Management Solution (EQMS) Suite. A contributing author to industry publications on topics such as Demand Driven Manufacturing, Real-Time Enterprise, and Enterprise Quality, Nair is also a keynote speaker at partner and industry events on various thought leadership topics.
